Very good
It has all the essential settings you have in the camera menu. I had absolutely no problems with the software, the speed is great on a decent computer with a decent camera (even on x64 win 7). I have found no bugs (oh, except one, on a tab is writen "moive" instead of "movie" :) ). I had used CCP with a d90 and now with d7000. I love the live view option, lets you focus anywhere and is perfect for viewing the colors and the final look of the photo directly on the monitor. I also love how the new features of the d7000 were added especially "timelapse photography", a very usefull feature. With a decent computer, a decent camera and a lot of creativity this software is very helpfull.

Six Months and Still Waiting
CC Pro 2 is very capable and useful in the studio. Unfortunately, if you have a new Mac you cannot use it. I fear that by the time they make it compatible with Lion, it will be incompatible with the next OS upgrade. I gave it stars for the features and functionality, but it is useless if it will not run on computers that have been out for over half a year.

Great Software
This is a wonderful software. It allows full control of my Nikon D90. Its coolest feature is the "Time Lapse Photograhy", with which one can take photos at regular intervals automatically. I will definitely recommend this.

Latest trial version works great on windows 7
Download and picture capture in less than 2 minutes. (from Nikon/usa website Version 2.8.0) I have a D5000 that I take pictures from 10 feet above and the logistics of up and down ladders is a pain. I can control all the functions (excepting zoom) from my computer and view the picture instantly!

works together with View NX and projector
I've connected my D300 to a Notebook, activated Camera Control Pro and View NX, The Notebook is connected to a screen-projector. When a shot is taken with the D300, it immediately goes thru CC Pro and on to View NX, which is immediately displayed on a large screen by the projector. Works perfectly!

Its really not a question of whether or not it is designed for the software the fact is that its Firmware is capable of being controlled remotely. There are some Opensource scripts that can control the D3100. so implementing it in Camera Control would be not only possible but easy. However then there would be one less reason to buy the d5100 :P so Nikon won't be doing it.May 1, 2012 by

I have used CCP2 for the past couple of years and have always found it very helpful, especially when shooting in studio but for the past year I can not use it on my D3. I have a backup D200 which I have to revert to because it is the only camera that is being recognized. I have already tried to reload the software on my computer but still no luck. I have checked my D3 for recommended settings and everything seems to be what is recommended, but still.....nothing. Any suggestions?

No you can only use one camera at a time.If you have a WT-4 for each of the cameras you could use our Thumbnail Select software and view the thumbnails from both cameras at once.
The computer operator would be able to download select full size images while the 2 photographers continue shooting.
Latest version of Camera Control 2.
D300 worked a couple of times but most times CC2 does not recognize D300 and then appears to crash (quite unexpectedly) after 20-30 seconds of being open and presumably searching for attached cameras.
I rented a D700 today to see if the same issues are present and they are not. D700 works just fine...unfortunately I'm a student and cannot afford to buy one right now.

Camera Control Pro 2

Can Nikon's Camera Control Pro support 2 or more cameras at the same time, sending the files to individual destination folders ??
I want to use 2 cameras with Nikon Camera control pro. So far I have used each camera on it's own computer with a copy of Camera Control Pro.
I now have a situation where I can only have one computer but need to use 2 cameras.
Fujifilms Hyper Utilities could control up to 3 (or maybe 5) cameras made by Nikon, so I am hoping this software can handle it.
Thanks
