You Don't Have This? If you do not have this on your lens, stop what you are doing and go get one. Your wonderful "kit" lens needs this little added protection as well as the preventative against lens flare, period. The lens may be inexpensive but it's one of the best lenses Nikon produces. The HB 33 is discontinued and is no longer available for purchase; it has now been replaced with the HB-45.

What is the best Lens hood that I can but for my Nikon AF-S DX 18-55mm F3.5-5.6G VR lens..... I was looking in for some Bayonnet lens hoods but unable to decide which one to go for.

Only one will fit, the HB-45, there are no other options as this is designed for the lens.
